Our Favorite Designers at New York Fashion Week!

New York’s Autumn/Winter 2016 fashion week is here! While it’s easy to get overwhelmed by all of the amazingness taking place throughout the next week, we’ve narrowed it down to some of our favorite designers/shows that we’re looking forward to seeing collections from. Here’s a recap of some of our favorite looks from their Spring 2016 collections and be sure to keep an eye out for Fall/Winter pieces hitting shelves here at Hartly in the coming months!

Yigal Azrouël – Friday, 11am

Kicking things off for our list is a Hartly mainstay, Yigal Azrouël. Beginning his Spring ’16 show with ornate and colorfully silky design patterns, Azrouël left onlookers impressed with his progression of light to dark outfitting throughout the presentation. Even more stylishly, various dresses were paired with a more street styled leather moto or other black outwear jacket to give each chic look an edge!

Rebecca Minkoff – Saturday, 12pm

Channeling the inner-60’s child, Rebecca Minkoff’s pre-Fall offering was described as being the “modern day Penny Lane”. Minkoff’s purses are typically the first things to catch our attention, and with fringe and meticulous patchwork being front and center, it’s easy to see why!

Hervé Léger – Saturday, 1pm

The first thing that often comes to mind when mentioning Hervé Léger in conversation are their bandage dresses. With this being common knowledge, Lubov Azria of BCBG fame at the helm made a conscious effort to stray away from that familiar look with their pre-fall collection this year. Even introducing pants in their repertoire, Léger proved that their appeal is far beyond being one dimensional.

Derek Lam – Sunday, 12pm

Always being the more ecclectic and vibrant side of things for the Derek Lam line, 10 Crosby continued to focus on visual vibrancy through saturated color patterns and drapey silhouettes. Wearing the influence on the sleeve (literally), embellished matador jackets were incorporated as standout selections along with ruffled hems and ankle length LBD’s. We can’t way to see what Derek lam has in store this weekend!

Veronica Beard – Monday, 5pm

Veronica Beard has undoubtedly been most recognized for her now staple Blazer and interchangeable dickey combination – a go-to for us at Hartly! One of our favorite things about Beard is her ability to make simplicity look so appealing. West-coast inspired, much of her pre-Fall collection consisted of embroidered tops, open stitches, and boho prints. We’re loving the resurgence of cargo pants that were previewed within this show and are hoping for similar designs to come for her Autum/Winter collection!
